What’s In My Makeup Bag
I’m always changing what I keep in my makeup bag because I love trying new things.. but there are certain things in there that are always there, even if I’m not using them at the time.
Foundation & Concealer
The foundations that I have been using recently are the Clinique Redness Solutions and the Rimmel Wake Me Up. I use the Clinique when ever I am having a bad skin day because the coverage is unbelievable, and I use the Rimmel whenever I’m having a good skin day because the coverage isn’t too much, but it’s just right for a lovely sunny day.
At the moment I am loving the Younique Mineral Touch Concealer. I saw how many people were raving about it and just had to give it a try and I am so glad I did. It’s brilliant for a highlighter under the eyes and perfect for covering red marks or blemishes. I don’t think I’ll ever look back. Seriously.
I haven’t actually changed my powder in over 2 years (that is so not like me!) because I’v never found anything as good as the Clinique Stay Matte Sheet Pressed Powder. The main thing that I look for in a powder is how light it will be on my face, I want a powder the takes away some of the shine on my face without leaving me looking powdery. I found exactly what I wanted.
Blush & Contour
The Maybelline Studio Blush is still my favourite blush of course. One thing I don’t like too much on my face is shimmer, I do like a tiny bit but not much at all, which is probably why I love this blush so much, as well as the fact its very subtle and easily ‘blendable’.
The same thing applies to my contour kit. I wanted a kit with a highlight that didn’t contain a shimmer, and a shader that wasn’t too dark for my skin. About 6 month ago I found the Seventeen Define and Conquer and thank god I did. I’v used others a few times but this is definitely my favourite at the moment.
I am always, always changing my eye shadows because they are probably the best thing to experiment with. Currently the eye shadow palette that doesn’t leave my makeup bag is the Makeup Revolution Redemption Palette 2 – as well as it being my back up eyebrow powder, it has got all the everyday neutral colours in it I need if I want to quickly put some soft eye shadow on.
Eyeliner & Mascara
Well I don’t wear eyeliner very often, but if I do, I use the Avon Super Extend and the Avon Big & Daring Glimmerstick. They are both perfect for someone who doesn’t do much with their liner. They stay put, don’t smudge and can blend easily as well.
The Avon SuperShock mascara never ever leaves my makeup bag! If Avon ever stopped making it I honestly don’t know what I would do. It’s the best mascara I have ever had. I am always trying new mascara’s but I will still use this one too. It’s fab!
I love lipsticks and I have a whole drawer full which I’m always going through, but at the moment these are the 4 main lipstick I have been wearing recently. I wear the pinks on beautiful sunny days and the nudes on quite cold, darker, rainy days. With living in England, I definitely need both!
