Max Factor Summer Set Gift & Competition Winners
As most of you are probably aware, Max Factor has an offer on at boots (online too) that is way too good to miss. As soon as I saw the advert I knew I had to get myself this amazing little box.
The offer was Spend £15 and receive the summer set free gift that includes, the Eye Luminizer, light/medium, the Colour Elixir Lip Gloss(£8.99) in glossy toffee and the Voluptuous False Lash Effect Mascara(£11.99) in black. So since I decided I had to have that box I had to choose some other products to spend £15. The products I chose were Colour Adapt Foundation (£9.99) and the Panstik Creamy Foundation (£7.99)
I’v been trying these out for a few days now and I wanted to let you know whether it was worth it, so here are my thoughts.
Voluptuous False Lash Effect Mascara – Of course I’ve got to start with the mascara. Wow I love it. Firstly, the wand is huge! but I really like that, I find it works so much better for me to coat my lashes perfectly & give them amazing volume. As always the product was a little too wet when I first used it, but it’s already started to dry up a little making it even better!
Colour Elixir Lip Gloss – Well I’m not a fan of glosses really, I can get a little lazy with them & the colour didn’t appeal to me much, but I gave it a go anyway and I quite liked it.The colour is actually very natural and so so pretty, very easy to wear. The gloss itself is a little sticky, but not too much, and it looks so nice!
Panstik – When I first picked this up I wasn’t too sure if I’d like it at all, but I wanted to give it a try because I’d never tried a foundation like this before.. I thought straight away that this would be hard to use, it does say it’s a creamy foundation but I assumed it would be quite stiff and hard to blend, but I couldn’t have been more wrong. I love love love it! I applied the tiniest amount around my face and spread it with a brush and it blended so so well! It has great coverage too and looks so natural and ‘glowy’.
Eye Luminizer – This one is something I’m really excited to talk about.. Honestly, I didn’t know what to do with this at first haha, especially when I opened it and saw how dark the colour was! But I thought okay lets try it anyway so I put a little under my eyes (after using the panstik) & I fell in love. The colour blended in so well & it added such a nice healthy glow to my skin even though it looked way too dark! It’s such an amazing little thing!
Colour Adapt Foundation – Personally, I didn’t like it.. But that’s only because it isn’t as high coverage as I like, I have a lot of redness on my cheeks, and this just didn’t cover it. But the product itself is really good. It’s easy to apply & blends so well and it definitely matched to the colour of my skin.
Overall, it was 100% worth it! & As usual sorry that I rambled a lot, I could have wrote more!
Have you picked this up yet? I’d love to know your thoughts? & have you tried any of these? Let me know in the comments!
