A trip to Hayfield
A couple of weeks ago, me and my partner decided to plan a night away for our birthdays since they are so close together. We decided to go somewhere cute and village like with a lot of places to walk the dog, because of course, she was coming with us.
We searched for days for the perfect place till we eventually found this gorgeous little town called Hayfield in High Peak, Derbyshire. (where the BBC series The Village was set, which was such a good series!)
The road trip there was just as amazing as the place itself, the views were so pretty! Fields after fields with gorgeous lakes thrown in here and there. It was so beautiful, I’m a ‘proper country/village girl at heart.
The cottage/apartment that we stayed in was lovely and so cosy, just what we wanted on a rainy weekend. A little plus side for me was the signal wasn’t all that great since we were in a valley so it just gave us an excuse to put our phones down, take Bella on long walks & cuddle on the sofa playing board games. It was just what we needed.
When we had settled in we decided to explore the cute little village and nip to the shop for some snacks. There were pretty banners up, flowers everywhere and friendly people saying hello. It was so lovely
The next morning we headed out for a long walk & we found the perfect place to let Bella loose on the long line. There was a really long road that led uphill towards a farm, so we decided to head on up there in the hope that we’d have the road to ourselves. We definitely did and Bella loved it! When we got to the top we turned around to see the view and it was unbelievable, one of the most beautiful relaxing places I have ever been.
I loved it and would definitely go back! It’s the most cutest, friendliest village I have ever been too! I would recommend it to anyone who loves this sort of getaway & lives near by!
