Avon Perfectly Matte Lipstick Range
As we all know now, matte lips are big this year with nearly all brands offering amazing matte ranges. This means I have tried my fair share of matte lipsticks but more often than not, I’m left feeling a little disappointed due to the fact that my lips get quite dry sometimes. I figured I’d only be able to wear a matte lipstick if my lips were in perfect condition. Until I decided to order the Avon Perfectly Matte Lipstick samples.
Matte lipsticks can be soo drying, and feel so heavy and that’s because usually, powders are added to make the lipstick matte, but Avon’s new matte range has been formulated with powders throughout the process, leaving them soft, light, comfortable and of course, very matte. I’d already given the lipsticks a try before I’d read about this process and I knew straight away that they felt different, they felt like a normal lipstick, I wouldn’t have even known that they were matte until I looked. I don’t know about you, but I think that’s pretty amazing for a matte lipstick.
The range offers 20 different colours including reds, berries, corals, pinks and nudes, all giving a beautiful colour payoff with a soft look, except for the nudes. As I said before, my lips can sometimes get really dry making it impossible to use the lightest nude shades, they intensify the look of dry cracked lips. Which is such a shame because I’m a little nude obsessed. I can imagine that they work perfectly on naturally beautiful lips or lips that have been ‘prepared’. I can say that one of the nude shades, Marvelous Mocha looks beautiful on and does not leave your lips looking cracked or dry, even if they are.
I bought the set of samples so that I could give every colour a try before purchasing a full size, which of course I have and the packaging on the full size products is stunning. Simple and beautiful – all matte black with a silver band around the them. – (full size packaging)
The pigment in every shade is incredible, and the colour lasts, even when the lipstick starts to fade a bit, the colour is still there, there’s not jagged line where the colour has come away, they just blend out which keeps them looking perfect all day. They are by far the softest lipstick I have ever tried, they glide on amazingly, they don’t tug and you don’t have to force the colour. I literally cannot fault them in any way. If you haven’t tried the Perfectly Matte range, you need to!
In my eyes, Avon has done it. They have produced a beautiful, perfectly matte lipstick range that doesn’t leave your lips feeling dry or cracked, even if your lips are a bit dry and cracked! Seriously, they’re amazing.
