L’Oreal Pure Clay Masks
Face masks are undoubtedly the best thing for a good pamper session, they can completely boost your confidence, make you feel special and obviously improve your skin in so many ways. So when I saw that L’Oreal, one of my favourite drugstore brands had released a face mask range I couldn’t wait to get my hands on them since I am still loving their Extraordinary Clay hair care range.
The range includes three masks: purity, detox & glow. Each comes boxed, which contains all the need to know information including the ingredients and how to use. The product itself is stored in a beautiful expensive looking 50ml glass jar with a pale green twist lid. Each mask is quite strong scented & being quite sensitive to scented products myself, they didn’t really seem to effect my skin too much.
I’ve used each mask a couple of times now over the past few week, so I’m going to explain each one and let you know my thoughts. All 3 masks include ‘a powerful blend of 3 pure clays’ as well as their own beneficial ingredient making them unique.
Koalin – known to absorb impurities and excess sebum
Montmorillonite – helping to eliminate imperfections
Ghassoul – renowned to help clarify complexion
Detox Mask – Detoxifies & Clarifies
3 pure clays + charcoal
I was a bit nervous when I first applied this mask because it did start to burn, but I left it on to see what the outcome would be and I was surprised to find that it hadn’t irritated my skin at all. It’s very easy to apply but a little harder to get off just like most charcoal masks. I could instantly tell my skin was cleaner, all my pores were completely unblocked and my face felt so fresh.
Purity Mask – Purifies & Mattifies
3 pure clays + eucalyptus
This has got to be my favourite mask right now. Absolutely perfect for summer. I haven’t experienced any burning sensation with this mask, it actually feels very soothing on my skin. only the thinnest layer is needed and it dries really quickly, setting perfectly. Again I felt my skin was so much cleaner once I’d washed off the mask and I feel like it’s also taken away some on the unwanted shine after only 3 uses.
Glow Mask – Brightens & Exfoliates
3 pure clays + red algae
I love the idea of this mask, but I can’t say I have currently noticed any ‘brightening’ in my skin, but knowing how good the other 2 masks are, I will definitely continue to use this, even if it is just for the brilliant exfoliating properties in hopes that the red algae will start to work. The ‘beaded’ texture is lovely and soft on the skin, exfoliating without causing any irritation, leaving my skin feeling so soft and looking refreshed. It also helps to apply the mask in soft circular motions too.
Overall I love love love all 3 of these masks and managed to fit them all in my skincare routine by using the Glow mask all over my face first, then using the Detox mask around my nose & T-zone, and the Purity mask on my forehead. It just makes it so much more special that you can use each of these masks in different areas to suit your needs. #clayyourway
