What’s in my Makeup Bag – Autumn Edition
The last time I shared a what’s in my bag was months ago! So when the lovely Jess from Little Beauty Things got in touch to do a collaboration, we decided it would be perfect to share what’s currently in our makeup bags, especially now that it’s Autumn and our bags have had a little change up. You can find out what’s in Jess’s Autumn makeup bag here!
I keep far too much in my makeup bag, but these are the main things I’ve been using recently.
Younique Glorious Primer
Still completely obsessed with this primer, I haven’t had a single problem with it so far, so I haven’t really tried any others, it’s become a holy grail. It creates a smooth base to apply my makeup too and then keeps it looking flawless all day long.
NYX Green Concealer
I mentioned this in my last favourites because I have literally relied on it. Since the weather’s got colder, my redness has started to show a lot more, and it can be a bit hard to cover it completely. So I’ve been applying a bit of this on my cheeks and around my nose everyday before applying my foundation and it makes such a difference.
L’Oreal True Match | Foundation
Current favourite foundation, absolutely perfect. Since there’s no chance in me getting a tan now till next summer, I need quite a light foundation to match my pale skin and L’Oreal is the only drugstore foundation that I’ve found so far that actually matches my skin colour perfectly. The coverage from this is also incredible, it’s completely full coverage, but still looks naturally beautiful.
Avon Lightening Concealer
This concealer has also become a staple in my makeup bag, it’s one of the highest coverage concealers I’ve ever used, plus it’s really light which makes it perfect for covering and highlighting under the eyes and cheekbones.
Maybelline Master Contour
If you’re a regular reader, you must know how much I adore this contour stick. It’s the most easiest beauty product that I have ever used and it works so well. It blends out to leave the most natural shade to your face just where you need it. The highlighter is so subtle and perfect to add a little bit of glow here and there. I don’t think this will ever leave my makeup bag. Full review here.
Younique Mineral Touch Pressed Powder
This is another thing that hasn’t changed in my makeup bag, I absolutely love the coverage on this powder and it’s a must at the moment with the redness on my cheeks. All the reviews and videos about this powder are honestly true and I’ve repurchased multiple times without a second thought. It’s definitely a holy grail.
Collection | Blush
I’ve mentioned a few times that I don’t regularly change my blush, but I recently received this as a gift so I gave it a go and I love it, I’m still obsessed with the Younique Mineral Touch Blush, which is still in my makeup bag, but this one is also a current favourite. The colour is perfect for this time of the year too, it’s not as pink as it looks in the pan, it’s much more tanned.
I find this absolutely perfect for this time of the year because it gives you the most beautiful glow, without you feeling summery. Almost like a ‘sparkle’ instead. Does that make any sense? – The different shades are stunning and look so perfect when applied to the skin. I actually cannot get enough of this palette, I can see it being in makeup bag for quite a while.
Avon Supershock, Maybelline Lash Sensational & L’oreal Miss Hippie | Mascara
As expected, I currently have 3 mascaras in my makeup bag, and I’ve already spoken about all 3 in my Mascara Cocktail post, which hasn’t changed since I wrote it because I cannot get enough of these 3 mascaras. The way that they work together is amazing, the Supershock keeps my lashes separated and adds length, the Lash Sensational gives incredible curl and the Miss Hippie gives unbelievable volume.
Zoeva Cocoa Blend & ColourPop | Eyeshadow
The Zoeva Cocoa Blend palette is absolutely perfect for this time of year, it absolutely screams Autumn, so of course it’s in my makeup bag. I’m completely obsessed with this palette at the moment, there’s not a single colour in there that I don’t use.
ColourPops LaLa & Tang have also been eyeshadow go-tos recently, the colours are absolutely stunning, perfect for the Autumn. I’ve only had these a week or so but I’ve instantly fallen in love with them.
Avon Mattes & ColourPop Ultra Mattes | Lipstick
One lipstick that hasn’t left my makeup bag for a little while is the Avon Mattes in the colour Au Naurtrual, and a couple of new additions are the ColourPop Ultra Mattes in the shades Midi & Viper. I absolutely love how the nudes go so well with any sort of look and Viper is absolutely perfect for the beginning of Autumn.
