L’Oreal Volume Million Lashes
A few months ago now, I picked up the L’Oreal Volume Million Lashes, simply because I couldn’t help myself. The ‘built in excess wiper‘ caught my eye straight away and I couldn’t wait to give it a try. L’Oreal promises that this mascara gives ‘Killer volume, millionized lashes’
The L’Oreal Volume Million Lashes comes in a kind of stumpy black and gold tube with the name printed along it’s length. Personally I really like the packaging, it’s simple but a bit classy. It’s functional too, the lid clicks shut and there’s an in-built wiper just on the tip of the tube to remove all the excess product for a no clump fanned out look. – which works.
The brush is one that I actually didn’t know if I would like due to it being quite hard plastic, but I actually love it. Because the brush has loads of little bristles, it grabs each lash and coats it with just the right amount of mascara. But there is a downside – the bristles right at the end of the brush just aren’t big enough to get right into the corner of your eye without smudging mascara on your eyelid. The colour – extra black -is intense, with no fading or greying, leaving the lashes looking contrasted all day long.
Like usual, the mascara’s quite wet to start with, after a couple of uses, it does start to dry up a bit making it a lot easier to work with. It starts to dry quite quickly on the lashes too, not too quick that you can’t work with it, it allows you to apply 2-3 layers before it starts to clump up. It gives a beautiful curl without having to use any other tools that lasts all day long without falling. It gives pretty good length without any flakey bits which means all the ends meet perfectly with one another for a really natural look. The volume is just incredible – Instead of clumping lashes with thick coats of mascara, it seems to create more lashes. It pulls every lash apart leaving a beautiful fanned out look, with no clumps what so ever.
When I gave this mascara it’s first road test, I’d been wearing it for over 10 hours and it had lasted amazingly. No flaking or smudging, the curl didn’t drop and it didn’t run either. It didn’t feel heavy or irritate my eyes at all so I’d say it passed with flying colours. I’d recommend this to everyone, you get everything you could want from a mascara with just this one.
