For my final Christmas post of the year I’m going finish of with a Christmas Tag. Christmas eve is tomorrow so there’s nothing better than having a bit of a reminisce.
I spotted laura’s post – here – and had to have a go myself.
1. What is your favourite Christmas film?
Honestly, is so hard to choose, but one that I’ve watched every year since I was little is The Nightmare Before Christmas, which i will be watching tomorrow and I can’t wait. I obviously love the classics, Miracle on 34th Street and It’s a Wonderful Life, Elf, Grinch. Basically, I love them all.
2. Do you open your presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas morning?
Christmas morning of course! I’d hate to open them Christmas eve, Christmas Day just wouldn’t feel the same. I’m like a child, up at 5 in the morning waking everyone up, but not because I want to open my presents, I want to see my family open theirs! I get so excited to see if they’ll like them.
3. Do you have a favourite Christmas memory?
I’m not sure, I have too many. One that stands out to me though, when I was younger, I had a Baby Born doll & I really really wanted a pram for her, I didn’t get one that morning and I was really upset, but when we went to my Grandma’s later on, I got one, but it was a double pram and I was so confused, my Grandma had bought me another doll too. I was sooo happy that day.
4. Favourite Festive Food?
I absolutely love the prawn starter, it’s definitely my favourite part of Christmas dinner, we purposely don’t have one any other time of the year to get us all excited for it Christmas day.
5. Favourite Christmas Present?
I can’t choose! I’ve had so many amazing presents every year from my amazing family that I don’t know which my favourite is! One present that I cherish is a singing snowman my Grandma bought me when I was about 5 years old, it’s a bit beat up now but I love it.
6. Favourite Christmas Scent?
Every year I make Christmas candles to give as gifts or to sell. My favourite scent that I use is Christmas Spice and it makes the house smell incredible.
7. Do you have any Christmas Eve Traditions?
Yes! We always watch The Nightmare Before Christmas right before we go to bed, and I’m the only one that enjoys it now haha, we always do the Christmas day food shop early in the morning and then set up for the big day & bake Gingerbread men too.
8. What tops your Christmas Tree?
We used to have a light up star, but it was too heavy for a tree so mum dug out the really old angel that she’s had for years and now she takes pride of place every year.
9. As a kid, what was the one (crazy, wild, extravagant) gift you always asked for but never received?
I’m not sure, the only thing I can think of the same as Laura’s answer.. a horse. My best friend had horses and we were always up at the stables, I was so sure that a horse would fit in my grandma’s garden and my mum always used to agree with me so I actually thought I was getting one, never did though.
10. What is the best part of Christmas for you?
All of it! From December the 1st until January the 2nd. But if I had to choose one thing, it’s being with my family. Everyone getting together, opening the presents, eating dinner and playing games, it’s so special.
