I’m not a big fan of New Year Resolutions I’ve got to admit, especially the obvious kind, I can never stick to them, but since starting this blog, I thought writing them all down as goals might help me a bit, plus there’s no better time to start doing new things, or more of something than the 1st of January. I did a what I want to do this year post half way through the year and I’ve pretty much stuck to it, so it must do. Here at my goals for 2017.
1. Get back into studying what I love.
I studied Animal Management at college for 2 years and I absolutely loved it, I really didn’t want it to end, it didn’t feel like work at all. Once I’d finished college, I wanted to get more into dog behaviour and I started to study it myself, but everything got a little bit hectic and it’s been pushed to the side a lot this year. I really want to get back into and hopefully make something come of it.
2. Become more organised.
I’m a really organised person, but as I’m writing this, I’ve realised that I’ve not been lately. I’m actually excited for the start of the year so I can get my **** together tbh. I need to catch up with so much now. I’ve already got myself prepared too so I’ll be sharing a post on how it’s going soon.
3. Read even more.
I’ve recently got back into reading, properly anyway. I never used to have the time to really settle with a book because I was just doing way too much. I’ve remembered how much I love it and I definitely want to make more time for it.
4. Reach 2000 followers.
At some point next year I definitely want to reach 2000 followers, for me, blogging is definitely not about the numbers but is sure does feel good to reach a milestone, I’m just about to hit 1000 and it makes me feel so proud of myself, and so thankful to you all.
5. Stick to saving
This is one goal I really need to do. I am shopaholic, literally, I can’t help it, I’m really good at saving when I try, but then I see a sale sign and well.. So, when the sales are over, of course, I really need to get back to saving and stick to it. I need to stop eating out & stop shopping altogether. I even manage to find things on a quick food shop run. It needs to stop!
6. Get back into fitness.
Sometime last year I got really into fitness and it made me feel so much healthier, then I got way too busy and just didn’t have the time for it, I really hope in the new year I can make it part of my routine again. I don’t mean nothing crazy because I’ve got to be honest, I can’t set my goals too high with this one, but a little workout everyday used to be perfect for me.
7. Give myself a break.
The main thing I want to do this year is be happy, I need to take a step back sometimes and relax, make looking after myself a priority. I’m always rushing about doing this and that, and looking back over the year has made me realise this & it needs to change.
