16 Favourites From 2016
Happy New Year Everyone! Hope you’ve all had a good weekend and a great start to the new year, if you’re not still suffering from the effects of New Years Eve! I can’t believe it’s 2017, it feels so weird saying it, don’t you think?
Anyway, today I’m going to share 16 of my favourite things from 2016. I know I do a favourites every month, but I’m going to do a whole year roundup of things that I’ve loved practically all year round.
1. L’Oreal Elvive Extraordinary Clay
This has been my go to hair care ever since I got it back in March. I recommend it to absolutely everyone. It’s completely changed my hair for the better. I no longer have to worry about it being greasy 2 days after washing it, plus it’s so so so much softer.
2. Maybelline Master Contour.
By far one of my favourite ever drugstore products & I can’t recommend it enough. It’s the most simplest, easiest, natural looking cream contour I have ever used. Plus, it lasts for ages, I’ve used it nearly every single day since I got it and I’ve only just had to repurchase a new one!
3 & 4. L’Oreal Miss Hippie Mascara & Rimmel Scandaleyes Mascara
When it comes to mascara, 2 spring to mind, even though I have tried my fair share this year. Of course I’ve got to mention Avon Supershock, but I’ve been loving that for years so I can’t include it. Both Miss Hippie & Scandaleyes are amazing & I’ve repurchased both and will definitely continue too.
5. Zoeva Cocoa Blend Palette.
I don’t think I’ve ever been obsessed with a palette as much as I have this one. I can’t thank Gintare enough for including this in her giveaway, that I won! Unlike most palettes, I adore every colour in this one and it’s been the perfect palette over the past few months
6. Younique Mineral Touch Concealer
Another product that I recommend to everyone. If you are looking for coverage, this it the concealer for you. Yes it’s a bit pricey for such a small tube but, it last. I’m actually confused how such a tiny amount of concealer can cover so much area.
7. Younique Mineral Touch Pressed Powder.
Another Younique favourite. Again, it’s unbelievably high coverage which helps it to last ‘cos you hardly need to use any. It’s not cakey at all, it’s quite thin when applied and the colour choice available is amazing.
8. Rimmel Kate Sculpting Palette
This has been another staple in my makeup bag ever since I purchased it last year & I’ve only just hit pan! Each colour is natural and suits my skin tone perfectly. The highlight is also really natural looking and definitely not too glittery. I just love it.
9. NYX Lip Lingerie
I’m literally about to run out of this I have used it that much. If someone was to ask me what’s a perfect nude, I would definitely say Lipli It’s a stunning matte lipstick that goes on so well, lasts and works with any look.
10. Colourpop Wattles
This is definitely my favourite eyeshadow colour ever, ever. It’s a beautiful creamy rose gold that looks so gorgeous. I’m obsessed with the Colourpop Supershock shadows anyway, like I’ve said countless times, I’ve never used anything like it. It’s amazing.
11. The Body Shop Seaweed Scrub
One of my staples in my cleansing routine has been the Body Shops Seaweed Scrub, it’s probably one of the only scrubs that isn’t too powerful for my skin. It’s leaves my skin feeling so soft too, I can tell that it’s really got into my pores and cleaned them all out.
12.Sleek Highlighter Solstice
This is definitely a favourite of everyone’s this year, it was raved about so much I ended up having to try it myself & I know why. It’s an amazing highlighter and the colours are incredible.
13. L’Oreal True Match Foundation
Another massive staple in my makeup bag is this amazing foundation. If someone gave me this to try without telling me what it was, I would never think you could pick this up for just over a tenner! I change my foundation up a lot, especially during the seasons, but if I think about it, my most used foundation this year had definitely been this one. I absolutely love it.
14.Younique Glorious Face & Eye Primer
Can you tell I’ve been enjoying Younique products? Ever since my sister in law started as a presenter, I’ve tried out quite a few things & since I first tried it, it never left my makeup bag and I’ve practically used it every single day. It’s made a huge difference to the way my makeup sits on my face and I love it.
15. Avon Nailwear Moondust
Throughout spring and summer, I basically wore this all the time. I just love the way that it looks on the nails. It’s light and soft looking, perfect for me. I also really like Avons nailwear anyway, they last really well & only ever need a few coats.
16. Rimmel Kate nudes 42
Another favourite that you have probably seen mentioned a lot here. I’ve already had to repurchase it because I use it that much. It’s my go to nude lipstick when I’m not feeling in the mood for a liquid lipstick. We all know already how good the Kate Moss lipsticks are so I don’t need to tell you again. It’s beautiful.
