January Favourites // 2017
Well that’s another month over, been a pretty good month actually although it did go by pretty fast. I’ve been finding it harder and harder lately to pick what to include in my favourites, quite often I stick to what I like, even if I do try out quite a few things. Lately though I’ve been loving a few new things so there’s a bit more beauty bits than usual this month, plus I have 2 amazing books to share with you!
Sleek Matte Me Shabby Chic
I absolutely adore my liquid lipsticks and I’ve always got one that I’m obsessing over, this month it has been the Sleek Matte Me in Shabby Chic. I was a little disapointed with the colour at first because as you can tell from the picture, it looks quite light, but actually it’s quite dark. It grew on me though and now I can’t stop wearing it!
Barry M Lip Liner Nude
I’ve always loved Barry M lip liners but I run out of my new one months ago and just never replaced it. I received one this year though as a late Christmas present and I’ve become obsessed with it again. I’ve used it pretty much every day when I’ve not wore my Sleek Matte Me. I really wish they would introduce some more colours though.
Maybelline The Nudes & The Blushed Nudes
I absolutely adore these palettes, and for once I love every single colour in both. The shimmers are stunning and so nicely pigmented and the mattes are so creamy. They’re really easy palettes to use too, the colours are simple and neutral which makes them so much more appealing. The packaging is simple but stunning too which is always a plus
Avon Makeup Brushes
I decided to try out a couple of the new Avon brushes a few weeks back because my go to brushes used to be the Avon ones and I loved them. They are so soft and don’t shred at all. I’m quite fussy with brushes because I like them to be quite thick, but soft, so that they can pick up a good amount of product and apply it nicely. These are perfect.
NYX Lush Lashes XXL
I am currently smitten with this brush, not so much the mascara, but this wand completely wins me over and I’ve used it none stop for the past month. I’ve shared a review here if you want to take a look.
Paco Robanne Olympea
I’d wanted the Paco Robanne Olympea for sooo long, everytime I went in to Superdrug I couldn’t help but spray it. My lovely mum got it me for Christmas & that’s basically the only perfume that I have used for the last month. I absolutely adore it, it just smells so good. The smell really lasts too, when I’ve got changed in the evening I can still smell it on me.
The Teacher & The Secret by Katerina Diamond
As you probably expected, I’ve got 2 Thrillers to share this month. These 2 are definitely not your average suspense thriller and they are definitely not for the faint hearted. In fact, I was debating whether to even put them in my favourites because they’re quite sick, not in a good way.. But really, I was obsessed with these books, I absolutely loved both of them and could not put them down, even if the stories are crazy. If you love a crazy thriller then you definitely need to give these books a read!
