5 Books I Can’t Wait To Read
Lately I’ve been reading a lot. I mean, loads. At the beginning of last year I got into a massive reading slump and just couldn’t seem to get into any books but then half way through the year I couldn’t stop reading, which has lead my to purchasing a whole load of new books. I’ve got to admit, when it comes to books, I wouldn’t say I’m all that adventurous. Don’t get me wrong, I would absolutely love to just read everything, but when I’ve got a choice, I quite often lean towards my favourites, which I suppose everyone does don’t they? My favourites are anything to do with dogs, and I mean anything, or thrillers. I also adore reading fantasy, but I just don’t seem to read them that much. I want to though. I also share the addiction to self help books that everyone has. At the moment though, I have quite a few piles of books, which are all mainly thrillers, or dog stories with a few random ones thrown in there, that I can’t wait to make my way through (I need to buy a bookshelf really bad.. ) I have 5 books in particular that I cannot wait to read, so I’m going to tell you about them today.
The first book that I am planning on reading next is Find Her by Lisa Gardner, I have started it and just read a couple of chapters because I was so excited to start it, but I’m currently reading Flowers In The Attic, a book both my Mum and Grandma have told me to read for years. I’ve finally gotten round to it, and let me tell you, it’s weird, but it’s so good! Anyway, I digest. As far as I can tell, I am going to absolutely love reading Find Her, just the first few chapters were intense and that’s just what I want from a Crime Thriller. It’s extremely detailed, to a point I even felt Claustrophobic haha (you’ll know what I mean if you’ve read it) and I love that.
Then, last week, I spotted a book in Tesco that I need to read right now! I find it so hard to read more than one book at a time so I often find it quite hard to choose, but since I have 2 books started, this amazing story is just going to have to wait a bit, even though I want to read it all right now. Some of my favourite books ever, so far, are true stories of brave and loving dogs, which Arthur, the dog that crossed the jungle to find a home, sounds just like. I’ve not read into it too much because, spoilers. But just from reading the back cover, infact, just the front. I know I am going to adore this book.
Next up is another Thriller that I know nothing about, but it sound extremely exciting. Local Girl Missing sounds a bit like Missing Presumed, although quite different, that I really enjoyed, so if it is anything like it, I’ve got to love it haven’t I? I love suspense in my books, I love not being able to put it down and I really hope this book makes me feel like that! I am also planning on reading The Killing House which is another thriller I can’t wait to read. I picked it up months ago and just haven’t gotten round to it yet, but I’ve just finished Murder House so I’ve got to read The Killing House now, although, they are completely unrelated haha.
The final book that I cannot wait to read is the classic Petals On The Wind by Virginia Andrews, which is the sequel to Flowers In The Attic, that I’m currently reading. I mentioned a bit about my Mum and Grandma recommending it to me constantly until I finally gave in and now I understand why they both went on at me so much. As you can see, the books are pretty old and well loved, but tbh that makes it so much more special to me. My Mum and Grandma used to argue who was going to read it first when a new one was brought out haha. Again I’ve gone off point.. So far, these books are a bit crackers and quite heart wrenching, but it’s addictive, a massive page turner and knowing I’ve still got 3 more in this little series to read makes me very, very happy.
