May Favourites // 2017
I’m starting to get a bit freaked out now with how fast each year is going, I know we all say it but seriously, it still feels like I should be in April and I really don’t like it, but May was such a good month, I had an amazing month infact, I did alsorts and of course it was my birthday which means I got quite a lot of new makeup that I’ve been obsessing over, I got spoilt that much I’ve not even had chance to try it all yet! So expect quite a lot of reviews! Back to my monthly favourites, I’ve got 6 things I’ve been loving this month to share with you.
L’Oreal Miss Baby Roll Mascara //
If you saw my review, you’re probably wondering why this mascara is actually in my favourites, but surprisingly, I’ve used it loads, more than I expected when I first tried it. It’s been a no go for when I’ve been in a rush definitely but the rest of the time, I’ve reached for it and spent a little bit more time perfecting it so that I can get the full on volume out of this mascara and I’ve used to soo much and actually really loved it. If only the formula was a little bit easier to work with.
Body Shop Mango Body Mist //
I’ve converted from perfume to mists and sprits over the past year, now I savour my perfumes for more special occasions and just go mad with a mist the rest of the time. I spray them everywhere too because I just become obsessed, I don’t even think I’ve smelt one yet that I don’t like, seriously. Recently, I’ve been a bit addicted to The Body Shops range, I love that you can spray the smell of you’re favourite fruits everywhere, and it’s healthy too because it usually results in me eating that fruit. I’m currently using the Mango Body Mist, constantly, I’ve been using it since my birthday and you can’t even tell, that’s how long these last, I’ve had my grapefruit one just over a year and I’m not even half way!
New Look Matte Lipstick Rose Quartz //
This lipstick has become a staple in my makeup routine, I’m smitten with it as you’ll have guessed from my review. The colours quite out there for me, in a completely different way from, say a plum shade, because it’s sooo close to making you look ill, but I just can’t get enough of it and it suits my skin a lot more than I thought it would when I first saw it, and I’ve found a way of wearing it with multiple looks too and I just cannot get enough of it.
Younique A La Mode Luminizer //
Another gorgeous product that I’ve reviewed for you this week that I can’t get enough of. I love my ‘natural’ highlighters, ones that aren’t too in your face but really do make you glow and I think that’s why I love this so much. I mentioned in the post about highlighters/luminizers being a bit confusing, but I can clarify that this is a highlight, it’s a bit too full on to be a ‘luminizer’ which did confuse me when I saw what it was called, but none the less, I have loved it, I’ve used it every day without fail and it’s lasted morning till night, I don’t think it could be any better.
Freedom Duo Eyebrow Powder //
So, it turns out that I can no longer get my hands on my trusty Makeup Revolution eyeshadow for my brows.. I knew this would happen and I was a little furious about it since I pretty much relied on it, but, my mum found out before me and surprised me with this Freedom Duo Brow Powder for my birthday, the lady in the shop told her it was the closest colour there is, and it is, it’s perfect, literally no difference, except of course this has two colours, but that just makes it better. It’s so easy to use, the colours blend perfectly together and it lasts all day. I’ve finally found something that I love that is actually for your brows!
Makeup Revolution Flawless Palette //
I’d had my eyes on this palette for months, but whenever I went to buy it, it was never in stock so I just gave up, but I managed to finally get my hands on it the other week and it’s become one of my most used palettes. I’ve always had a soft spot for makeup revolution, especially their eyeshadows, even if they aren’t the best ever, they are bloody amazing and work wonders, but this palette especially has stolen my heart. The colours in this palette are incredible, they are all so beautiful. And I just can’t get enough of it.
