I’ve had a big clear out of my makeup recently and got out all my Summer favourites, so I thought it was about time that I updated you all with what I’ll be using this Summer
My base hardly ever changes, unless I decide to try something new so I stick to the Younique Glorious Primer and the L’Oreal True Match Foundation. I also use the L’Oreal Infallible Total Cover on a regular basis because I just can’t decide which I love the most. I decided to give one of the most talked about concealers a go last month, the Maybelline Eye Eraser, after seeing it everywhere, and I think I’m becoming as obsessed as everyone else too. Although the colour isn’t as light as I’d like it to be, the coverage is insane so that’s probably staying in my makeup bag for a while.
I recently changed my powder too, I’ve been obsessed with the L’Oreal True Match Powder while the weathers been so hot, it works perfectly to feel light on the skin but keep your makeup in place, I’ve used it alone too, when the UK suddenly had a heatwave and I was so impressed with the coverage even though you don’t feel like you’re wearing anything. Same for the Rimmel Kate Sculpting Palette, which has been a favourite of mine since it was released last year – the highlighter is stunning, the contour is perfect and the blush is one of the best colours I’ve ever used, I don’t see this ever leaving my makeup bag.
I always get a bit worried about my brows in the hot weather, but I’ve been really impressed with the Freedom Duo Brow Powder, it would literally last forever if I didn’t wash it off every night so I feel a lot less worried since I’ve been using it. My main mascara never changes, of course, I’m still using my holy grail Avon Supershock on a daily basis but I do switch up between other mascara’s very often, at the moment, I’ve been using the L’Oreal Miss Baby Roll a lot. I’ve learnt to work with it and I’m really enjoying the amount of curl it gives.
Eyeshadows and lipsticks are always swapping places in my makeup bag, but I am absolutely loving the new Avon Mattes Shades, the colours are perfect for summer and they are such good quality. I’ve been obsessed with Pink Passion – I’m trying to stray away from nudes this summer so knowing I have 6 new gorgeous pinks is helping me a lot. I’ve also got out an old favourite eyeshadow for the summer, one that’s easy to apply and perfect for Summer is the Bourjois limited edition smokey eyes trio in the colour rose vintage. I think it’s going to be a favourite for quite a while.
I finish off the look with the Avon Setting Spray that helps to keep everything where it should be.
