I’ve always suffered with dry skin, in fact I have something called Keratosis Pilaris, basically it’s liked I’ve got goose pimples all the time, it’s mainly on my legs, but I get it on the back of my arms too when it’s a bit cold, so that’s always dry, but back in 2015 my dry skin got really bad, not on my body, but my face. It got to the point where I couldn’t actually cover it at all because makeup just made it 10x worse. I tried every moisturiser people were recommending and most just seemed to irritate it. So then I got worried as to what it actually was and decided it was about time I went an spoke to my doctor. My doctor did confirm it was just dry skin, but quite a bad case and she had one product in mind that she thought would clear it up instantly. I was prescribed the miracle worker, Aveeno Moisturising Cream and I haven’t looked back since.
I can remember the whole week of using this moisturiser like it was yesterday because every morning when I woke up, I was in utter shock because it worked. My dry skin had completely taken over my forehead and it was all along my jawline, it was even getting bad around my nose, which is usually where I’m most oily so you can imagine how bad it got. I absolutely covered my face in it the first night praying for a miracle, and I woke up the next day and it had completely soothed it all. It hadn’t gone of course, but it was nowhere near as bad and the next morning was even better. By the end of the week it had cleared up completely along my jaw and I only had a few patches left around my forehead. I couldn’t actually believe the difference it had made at all.
After nearly 3 years of using it, not even every night either because I often forget. I can honestly tell you, I have not the slightest bit of dry skin left on my face anywhere and I haven’t seen any since the day it cleared up. It’s even helped with my arms and legs, and I think if I actually used it every day as a body moisturiser that wouldn’t be dry either. (I’m too lazy though, don’t judge me)
From experience with multiple moisturisers, I learnt that so many can be so uncomfortable to wear, they can feel heavy and sticky and some are even too strong for my sensitive skin, so finding one that soaks in almost instantly, literally you have to rub it in quick before it starts to dry, and doesn’t feel uncomfortable was a miracle in itself. It’s in a pump bottle too which makes it so much easier than a squeezy bottle and you can just pop it at the side of your bed so you won’t forget to apply it. The packaging isn’t the prettiest, like I literally hate green, but I don’t even care, it’s that good.
I recommend this product to everyone, all the time, I’ve tried their daily moisturiser, body wash and hand cream and they helped just as much. If you’ve got quite sensitive skin like me you don’t have to worry at all, there’s no sensation or irritation what so ever and if you suffer with dry skin, this is honestly a life saver. Once that’s all cleared up though, it puts life back into your skin, makes it feel so much healthy and mine is definitely in a lot better condition than it was three years ago.
