3 Simple Motivation Boosters

My motivation is like a roller coaster. On minute I’m running around ticking everything off my to-do list and then the next I’m sat down with not even enough motivation to get the remote. I do however, have a few little things that I like to do when my motivation is lacking that give me a little boost so that I can get some stuff done

I’ve got to admit, this doesn’t always work, you do have to be careful you don’t get sucked into the internet but motivation and inspiration is infectious. Just seeing other people work can boost your motivation. I love to catch up on my favourite lifestyle blogs, I’ll always find an inspiring post that spurs me on to get things done and I always leave with so many ideas for my own blog that I’ll be sat straight back at my laptop typing away.

Planning seriously motivates me. I get so much more done when I’ve got my month planned out in front of me because I know what I’ve got to do, but, that’s not even the main reason I find planning so motivating. I’ve noticed that each time I sit down to plan and catch up with my to-do list, I get a huge boost of motivation. I already feel like I’m getting stuff done just by writing it down and it’s pushing me to get more done. I come up with more ideas, I start thinking more and I feel like I can actually do it, so I do. Set your goals high, but make sure to keep it realistic because every time you tick something of, you’ll get a little more motivation to get more done.

When the motivation just won’t come it could be because you have something else on your mind that you want to do, or need to do, so do it. Don’t force yourself to write that blog post, you know you’ll end up  wishing you hadn’t and don’t do the shopping if you’re not in to mood because you’ll forget something. And if you just can’t concentrate, taking your mind of all things you have to do will help. Go do something else that you want to do and come back to it when you feel ready. Quite often you’ll tick something else off your to-do list without even realising. Just don’t put too much pressure on yourself.

What do you do to boost your motivation?

I think it’s important not to force yourself to do something if you’re really not feeling it. I’ve actually read another Sarah Knight book so might have to look into this one too. Danielle || Miss Danielle
