The nights have now started to get a bit darker and there’s been quite a chill in the air, which means that Autumn is definitely here, and even though I don’t feel we had that much of a Summer I am really looking forward massively changing up my nail polishes – I’m leaving behind all the bright summer shades now and replacing them all with the perfect polishes for Autumn – I have four favourites that are perfect for this time of the year.
Berry tones are of course the go to for the Autumn season and I just couldn’t write this post without including my absolute favourite which is Avon’s Cherry Jubilee, a perfect berry shade with a subtle red undertone that couldn’t be more perfect for Autumn if it tried. I rave about the Avon’s Nailwear all the time. They are my go to’s for any nail colour and they never fail to amaze me. Cherry Jubilee definitely meets those expectations only needing one coat and lasting up to a week without a single chip and even better with a good top coat. Another Avon favourite for Autumn is Moondust, a gorgeous pale grey. Again it’s nicely pigmented and lasts pretty well too, definitely needs a top coat though because the formula of the Gel Shines are a lot thicker so they peel easier then the average nail wear, you can get at least a weeks wear out of them.
Nudes and soft pinks are also my favourite colours for Autumn/Winter, I mean, I love them all year round but they are especially fitting for this time of the year. My absolutely favourite that I just cannot stop using is Barry M’s Almond. A beautiful grey/purple toned nude that’s so versatile it can be worn with anything by anyone, it just couldn’t be any better for Autumn. We all know how amazing the Barry M polishes are, lasting quite well and always offering a good amount of colour payoff. Another subtle colour that I adore for Autumn is Bourjois’s Chair Et Tendre. If you haven’t noticed, I have a massive obsession with soft pinks and even more so when it comes to Autumn – I love how pretty they are, and Bourjois’ Chair Et Tendre is very pretty. It’s a gorgeous muted pink with a slight nude tone to it. I actually only own 3 of Bourjois’ polishes, but I absolutely love the quality. They last well and they are so pigmented, you could really get away with only one coat if you wanted too and their top coat also works so well to keep it all in place.
