I wasn’t actually planning on doing an Autumn tag this year but it just didn’t feel right and since I haven’t been tagged by anyone to do it this time, I thought I’d go off and find one myself. The first one I came across was Lauren’s, here’s Lauren’s post if you’d like to have a read – and she obviously felt the same as me and also went off to hunt for her own tag and found this one, and like she said it’s not a very long one, but I can guarantee I’ll ramble that much I’ll nearly reach 1000 words, so I’ll just get on with it shall I?
What signifies the start of Autumn for you?
Leaves – leaves being absolutely everywhere definitely marks the start of Autumn for me, 90% are currently in my back garden though. But also the darker mornings and nights, it definitely becomes Autumn when the clocks go back too (even though it’s obv already Autumn when this happens) but I don’t actually like it, not at the start anyway, once I get used to it I love it but at first I hate how dark it is all the time.
What is your favourite Fall scent
I have one ultimate favourite scent that I always get out at this time of the year, and that’s the beautiful Ghost Deep Night, it’s warm and cosy and perfect for Autumn. I’ve literally never ran out, as soon as I’m near to running out I’m off to buy more just so I never will. It reminds me so much of Autumn now too because I’ve wore it every year for about 6 years and no other scents come close. I’d say anything with cinnamon in too, but to be honest I don’t really count it because them sort of scents only ever come out as in December and I don’t regard December as Autumn to be honest, it’s just Christmas.
What is your favourite Autumn colour?
It’s so hard for me to decide actually, I adore burgundy’s and mustard’s, and I usually only ever wear them colours at this time of the year but I’ve got to admit, pastel pinks are always my go to. I have 103847 pink scarves, 184878 pink jumpers, I’m always buying pink hats and gloves and of course, I own a couple of pink coats too. Don’t worry I do not wear all of these at the same time.. But I do have quite a few burgundy jumpers and a gorgeous burgundy coat too.
What is your favourite fall drink?
Well I don’t usually drink hot drinks, I can’t stand coffee and I only have a cuppa now and then, but at this time of the year I am all over hot chocolate – to be honest, I don’t really care what brand it is, it’s all about how you make it – but I am obsessed with the Galaxy one, but that’s just because it’s all I have haha.
What TV show, new or old, are you looking forward to this Fall?
Well I would say The Walking Dead – it’s already on btw – but spoiler, Glenn died and Negan is still alive so I’m not really loving that right now – yes I am one of those people that thinks it’s a documentary. I am really enjoying Strictly of course, not really enjoying X-factor though, oh, and Criminal Minds is back so that’s brill! And that’s about it. I’m looking for a new series to start though, we’ve just finished GOT and I need to take my mind off it real bad.
What is your favourite Fall fashion trend?
Boots and scarves – I hardly wear scarves or boots throughout the rest of the year, so as soon as I can I’m out shopping for more, even though I can’t part with any that I already own and I literally live in them. big chunky scarves are my favourite and I adore boots with laces.
What is your favourite frugal Autumn activity?
Walking the dogs super early in the morning when the suns just coming up is amazing, you only ever get chance to do it in Autumn so it always seems a lot more special. I love getting all wrapped up with my big coat and scarf and heading out into the fresh air. It always makes me so much more productive too because it really wakes me up and get’s me ready for the rest of the day,
What is your favourite makeup look come Autumn weather?
Nudes, reds and berry eye shadow shades are always my go to for Autumn. I’m usually always wearing a nude lip so that doesn’t really change, but I do occasionally step out of my comfort zone and go for a berry/plum lip when I’m feeling it. I also love a minimal look with a flushed cheek, I think it’s perfect for this time of the year.
And that’s it! I’m going to tag Jackie from All Things Jacqui, and Sukanya from Styles and Sensibilities to have a go at this tag but everyone is welcome to do it too, I’d love for you to let me know if you do, just leave me a little comment!
