Brands I Want To Discover More From
I’ve noticed, and you all probably have too, that I talk about the same brands all. the. time. I literally have no variety in my life when it comes to makeup, but I do want to change that and I really want to start branching out and trying more, especially from the brands that I never think about or bother to look at. I’ve chosen four brands that I want to discover more from this year and I’ve had a little natter about each one.
Max Factor isn’t a brand that I normal look at when I’m in Boots, I usually go straight to my favourites to see what’s new, but after receiving quite a few of their products for Christmas, I now really want to see what else they have. My favourite thing is of course the beautiful eyeshadow palette, and I’ve been using it like there’s no tomorrow so I definitely want to have a look at their other shadows but I also want to see what other highlighters they have too because the one that I got for Christmas is amazing, so I’ve got my fingers crossed that I’ll be able to get my hands on some more.
I actually mentioned NYX in my last ‘brands I want to discover more from‘ post and the reason that I still haven’t tried much more is the same – the counter staff, it’s like walking into Lush, but on a much smaller scale and I just can’t deal with it, I want to have a proper look myself and I don’t want to be watched while I’m doing it. I know it’s their job but it’s just too much for such a tiny space! I have tried their shadow’s since then, and finding out that they are bloody amazing has definitely made me want to get my hands on one of their palettes but I also really want to have a proper look at all their face products too because there’s so many bits and bobs and I don’t own any. I’d love some recommendations though to make my trip a little bit easier.
Elf is one of those brand that I hardly ever think about because it’s not available in any of my local stores and I never think to look online, plus I’ve not seen much of their products floating about for a while. But I do keep thinking about it, and I have had their Rose Gold Palette on my wishlist for quite a while but I just don’t want to order anything offline without seeing it in person. I’m hoping to find a Superdrug soon that stocks Elf so I can have a really good look at what’s on offer and hopefully treat myself to some new bits.
Revlon is another brand that is so easily available to me, but I just walk right past it and I don’t even have a reason. I do however have a reason to finally go and have a proper look at everything, and that’s the gorgeous Powder Blush. I’ve had this blush years, and I adore it, it’s always one that I reach for the most in the winter because it’s has the perfect amount of red in it to give you a soft blushed cheek and because I’ve been using it loads over the past few week, it’s kind of pushed me to make sure that I do have a proper look at their counter next time I’m in one of the shops. Also, I’ve heard, from everyone, that their liquid lips are to die for, so I know what I’ll probably be leaving with.
