5 Little Things

I had quite a bad day the other day, and it made me think quite a bit. I realised that I need to stop thinking about the things that aren’t going right in my life at the moment, and think about the things that are.. Don’t worry, you don’t have to get the violin out, because even though things are a bit crap at the moment, I do have a lot of things that still make me happy, but I thought I’d reflect on last week and just mention 5 of the little things that have made me happy lately.

My dogs. My dogs always cheer me up, this last week especially though, with their daft faces and silly antics. I’ve been training Bella again recently, and as soon as she see’s the treat tin, she does every trick she can remember, except the one that I am telling her to do and it’s hilarious.

My blog. With all the new year new me things, I’ve been overly motivated with my blog and I’ve been getting quite a lot done. Although I’m having a few problems with the whole redesign, I’m still feeling really good with the posts I’m writing and the way my stats are growing, which is of course motivating me even more.

Cross Stitch. I had quite a big break from cross stitching last year, but then I got some Christmas ones, and obviously that got me back in the spirit. I finally picked my adorable Popcorn The Bear kit back up & I’ve finished it already. I’ve started a budgie one that I’ve been wanting to do forever now. I find cross stitching so relaxing, it’s a bit different from what I usually do to relax so it seems to work better. Plus you get something beautiful to hang on your wall too.

Coat hangers. Okay so this one is abit daft, but let me explain. I’ve struggled with storage in my wardrobe for years because I own way too many clothes, and no matter how many clothes I got rid of, it never made a difference. Well, that was until I went and bought 100 slim coat hangers, they didn’t even cost a bomb either! I now have about 8″ spare, but I do have to keep telling myself that it’s not an excuse to buy more clothes.

Lemonade. This is the perfect example of ‘the little things’ but I’m so happy that I’ve finally found a fizzy drink that I like, that’s not that unhealthy. I can’t stand sweet drinks, so I don’t like normal lemonade at all, but I’ve finally found a fizzy lemonade that’s not sweet! And that has made me a very happy girl.

Love this kind of post babe for many reasons. One, as I get to know more about you and two, no matter what is going on you always find a positive.

Great blog. I get what I call those “blues days” when I get a bit frustrated, but I do have so many things I am thankful for: 1.hubby is not in the hospital, as a heart patient he had many of those days; 2. am retired and enjoying the late wake ups; 3. I have great children and grandchildren who visit often; 4. I love to read and use my books as an escape when I need one; and 5. my part time business is growing but I do it on my own terms and times so I dont feel any stress……there are so many more things like good friends, roof over my head, food on the table….life is good, even with the bumps in the road.

This comment is amazing Agnes! I’m so glad your husbands doing okay, and I’m glad your treating yourself to a lie in! What do you read?? Oh and you do Avon don’t you? I do too! I’m not looking forward to the changes they’re planning on making, but I’m sure we can make it work! You’ve got a great look on life and it’s contagious! xxxxxx
