So, you might have noticed this post was a bit late, you might have also noticed that Jessica Jade Beauty is looking a little different too.. Well that’s because I have finally found a theme that I like! Currently having a couple of problems here and there, I did decide to start setting it up only a couple of hours ago so it is my own fault, but hopefully will all be fine soon! Expect a post too! Anyway, back to today’s post! x
Although the weather hasn’t been that bad, I mean, we’ve seen worse, but it’s still all over the place and we’ve had quite a few gloomy days, and of course, living in England, we never know what it’s going to be like. So the start of the year can be a bit rubbish, we don’t get to do as much as we would in the Summer and we’re sometimes left with absolutely nothing to do, all because of the weather. If you’re currently stuck in this predicament, then I have you covered. I have a list of ten things that you could do on a gloomy day
Of course I had to put reading at the top of my list. There is honestly nothing better than having no plans at all and being able to read for as long as you want, especially when it’s such a good book that you can’t put it down.
I also find that getting organised when you having nothing else to do is a perfect way to spend your day, especially when it’s all done. Starting a bullet journal is a great way to get organised and it can also be quite relaxing too.
Invite friends/family round.
A rainy day is the perfect day to invite everyone round, order a takeaway and chuck a film on. Or you could cook for everyone, maybe try out a new recipe and make a day of it. Hopefully, everyone will have had to cancel their plans and you’ll all get chance to have a nice catch up.
Start a scrapbook.
I had to include this one because it’s definitely one of my favourite things to do when the weather has ruined any plans I had. Get your family to join in too and spend some time going over all your old photo’s. I’m planning on spending some time catching up on my scrapbook and I’m really starting to look forward to it now.
Find a new hobby.
I realise I have way too many hobbies for my own good, but I am never left without anything to do. There’s loads of fun hobbies you can pick up too, have a quick google and I am sure you’ll find something. This post might help, I know it’s Christmas related, but I’m sure you’ll be able to ignore that bit.
Have a proper pamper session.
This is of course the most obvious thing to do, but that’s because it’s the best thing to do. Treat yourself to a nice hot bath, put a face mask on, paint your nails, moisturise and make yourself feel special.
Have a clean out.
So Christmas is definitely over now, so if you haven’t already, it’s time for the annual clear out. & since the weathers so terrible, there’s not much else you could be doing. It’s the perfect time.
Visit somewhere new.
So if you still don’t want to be stuck in the house, and don’t actually mind the weather that much, then go and visit somewhere new. You could go to an aquarium or you could visit an indoor shopping centre you’ve never been to before. I absolutely love discovering new places.
Go on an all day date.
Again, if you’d rather get out of the house, you could go on an all day date. If you’ve got the cash to splash, treat yourself to a fancy breakfast and then do a bit of shopping, have a nice lunch and then spend the rest of the day in the cinema.
Have a duvet day.
And on the other and of the spectrum, you could spend all day on the sofa with your duvet in your pyjamas watching TV or playing video games, even treat yourself to a takeaway in the evening. You’re not allowed to feel guilty about it either. This is what rainy days were made for.
