I’ve never done a lifestyle favourites before, usually when I do a favourites, it’s about makeup, so I thought that today I’d change it up a little and share the lifestyle type things that I’ve been loving lately, from creative things, to TV, to food.
Bet you didn’t see that one coming did you? If you read this blog a lot, or if you follow me on Instagram, you’ll know that I’ve really gotten back into cross stitching lately. It’s something that I’ve done since I was probably about 8 years old, I might have even been younger to be honest, it was my grandma that patiently taught me how to cross stitch and I’ve been hooked on it ever since. I’ve been really enjoying doing it lately, sitting down in the evening like a little old lady, sewing away. It’s so relaxing and I’d recommend it to everyone.
I used to bullet journal all the time, I did it properly too, used it like a scrapbook, but then I kind of fell out of love with doing it. I stopped planning life things and only planned blog things in my make shift bullet journal, but since it was the start of a new year, I decided to order a new one and have a go at it again and I’m back hooked. I don’t do it like I used to, I don’t really have the time anymore, but I love creating monthly themes and experimenting with layouts and I look forward to sitting down on a Monday morning and planning out my week.
Music: Justin Timberlake
I rarely talk about music on here, so if you didn’t already know, I am in love with, Justin Timberlake (and Ed Sheeran..) and I’ve been obsessed with him since I was about 5, my wallpaper in my bedroom was literally hundreds of pictures of Justin, and I remember nearly crying when I had to redecorate my room & I
still have, had every single autobiography, ever, so Imagine how excited I was when I heard he was releasing a new album. Well, that album has been on repeat in my house since the day it was released, I don’t care how much everyone’s getting fed up of it, I bloody love it!
TV: Call The Midwife
Call The Midwife is finally back! I am all for all the ‘old fashioned’ shows, I loved Downton Abbey & Mr Selfridge, and Victoria is definitely a favourite too, but Call The Midwife is just something else, and like everyone in the world says, it’s my cosy show, and because it’s on the BBC, we actually get a full hour of amazingness. I’m definitely tempted to go back and watch it from the beginning, especially since it’s still dark and cosy in the evening.
Food: Pasta Bakes
I’ve been trying really hard since the start of the new year to try cooking different things and so far we’ve been doing really well. I’m the cook (if you can call it that) so I’m the one who has to come up with the new ideas and actually make them, which can be really hard after a long busy day, so I need simple, yet nourishing recipes. Me and Stuart love pasta (who doesn’t?) so we do usually have it quite often, but it’s usually the same kinda’ meal. Well not any more, I’ve been trying out loads of different pasta bake recipes and loads of different sauces, even changing the garlic bread side each time, and we have been living for it.
